Teiko Saito, Survivor
I am a Minidoka survivor, born in the camp. For me, Minidoka is hallowed ground because my mother died at Minidoka when I was only 1 years old.
I believe that all of us who had relatives or friends who were impacted by the incarceration need to do what we can to protect and preserve Minidoka National Historic Site. We must continue to tell our story so future generations can learn what their families went through and what they sacrificed with their persistence and resilience. We must ensure that this part of America’s history is not forgotten.
I made a three year donation to Friends of Minidoka because they are the best advocate to help protect this sacred site. Please join me by making a three year pledge to Friends of Minidoka.
