Wendy Tokuda, Descendant
I am the child of prisoners; Minidoka is in my bones.
Visiting Minidoka, I can sense the spirit of my parents and my grandparents around me. I feel the oppressive desert heat and breathe the dust they endured, and it fills me with emotion.
I pledged a gift for three years to Friends of Minidoka to support their work to preserve and protect Minidoka National Historic Site and to ensure that we never forget what happened here 80 years ago.
