Making History Visible Through Photography

Friends of Minidoka is excited to announce a collaboration with Youth in Focus for an eight week workshop “Making History Visible Through Photography” from September 27 - November 17. Teaching Artist Ronnie Estoque’s class will explore the history of Japanese American incarceration during WWII, connect the past to the present, investigating human rights and social justice topics. Students will explore Chinatown-International District and Japantown, hear first-hand stories from Minidoka survivors, and learn how photography is used as a tool for social change.
