Righting a Wrong: Japanese Americans and World War II Traveling Exhibition at Idaho State Museum, Boise, ID

Friends of Minidoka is excited to announce a new partnership with the Idaho State Museum in support of the traveling version of the Smithsonian Institution exhibit entitled Righting a Wrong: Japanese Americans and World War II. Righting a Wrong was developed by the National Museum of American History (NMAH) and adapted for travel by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibition was on display at NMAH in advance of the February 2017 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, and closed on July 31, 2019. It will be on display in Boise from January 25 through April 5, 2020.

Through the Robert C. Sims Community Education Fund, Friends of Minidoka will be providing the museum staff and docents with training and the funding needed to secure a bus to take a guided tour of Minidoka in advance of the exhibit opening. https://history.idaho.gov/raw/
