In our online store: Signed copies of Love In the Library

Now in our online store – Copies of Love In The Library (published by Candlewick/Penguin books) signed by Maggie Tokuda-Hall!

This month we highlight Love In The Library, a beautiful and wistful children's book by Maggie Tokuda-Hall about love blossoming between her grandparents at the library at Minidoka War Relocation Center. Based on a true story, Love In The Library speaks to the power of love and the power of books during difficult times. Illustrated by Yas Imamura, the muted colors, tilted perspectives, and retro feel transports the reader to Minidoka. Scholastic Books recently censored Tokuda-Hall by asking her to remove the word “racism” from her author’s notes. Tokuda-Hall refused, and turned down Scholastic Books' offer to publish her book.
